Is My Friend in an Unhealthy Relationship?

If you are here it’s because you are worried about someone close to you and their relationship. If you think your friend is in an unhealthy relationship, click here to learn the warning signs. If you know your friend is experiencing any of these things, it’s good that you care about them and are worried.

What Can I Do For My Friend?

Let your friend know you are worried. Talk to them when you can be alone. Don’t bring up your concern in front of their partner and do not confront their partner or you put them at risk. Tell them about this website and how they can talk to a WEAVE Advocate.

What if My Friend Doesn’t Listen to Me?

Your friend may not listen right away but they know you are a safe person to talk to. You can’t force your friend to do anything and if you walk away from them they will be even more isolated. Be patient and when they are ready for help, refer them to this site for more information.

What if My Friend is Involved with CPS or Law Enforcement?

If your friend is involved with CPS or law enforcement because their partner hurt them or forced them to have sex with others for money, let them know they can request a WEAVE Advocate. Our Advocates won’t tell your friend what to do but we can be there to support them.
